Roots & Rhythm: Shakuhachi & Ghatam in Dialogue at NAMBA Performing Arts Space

Experience an extraordinary cultural crossover event marking a rare, first-time U.S. stage reunion between Grammy Award-winning Indian ghatam virtuoso Giridhar Udupa and renowned shakuhachi master John Kaizan Neptune. Back on stage together for the first time in over 20 years, they are joined by David Neptune on bamboo percussion for an intimate, transcendent evening where traditional Japanese and South Indian musical elements collide through masterclass improvisation and deep rhythmic listening.
