This intermediate hike starts at the Potrero Road and Wendy Drive trailhead in Newbury Park and takes you on about six miles of rolling terrain to Angel Vista, where you'll stop to take in views of the Conejo Valley, Hidden Valley, and the Pacific Ocean with the Channel Islands visible in the distance. You'll gain and lose roughly 1,300 feet of elevation along the way. The hike leader asks that you bring plenty of water, snacks, a headlamp, and wear sturdy hiking shoes and brush-resistant pants. Free parking is available at the trailhead, and the group aims to finish before dark, though a flashlight is recommended just in case.
