Another in the foreign film series, this one from the US and, I guess, Germany, in English. It has been rated by Rotten Tomatoes: 90%/87 [Critics/Audiences]. It is rated NR.
From the Academy Award®-winning filmmakers behind Everything Everywhere All at Once and Navalny; a father-to-be tries to figure out what is happening with all this AI insanity. The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist is a hand-made, eye-opening documentary about the most powerful technology humanity has ever created... and what's at stake if we get it wrong.
**Critics' Consensus**
A comprehensive survey of a brave new world, *The AI Doc* is a balanced inquiry into a transformative technology that weighs the risks with a touching amount of humanity.
**Reviews**
*For all its scattered focus, this is when the film is at its most persuasive, showing how a once‑fringe worry has become a serious global project.*
Peter Howell, Toronto Star
*A scary, dizzying and essential documentary. If you have any interest in artificial intelligence (which is to say: the future), you should go out and see it right now.*
Owen Gleiberman Variety
*It seeks to raise awareness and spark conversation more than to draw conclusions.*

All of our events are intended to have a strong social component, something sitting together in a dark theater reading subtitles doesn't provide. So when you get to the theater, just buy your ticket and enter. After these OFS movies, interested movie goers gather at Pacifico's Sushi Mex (on leaving the theater, follow the building to the left). It wouldn't necessarily be my first choice of restaurant, but it does have a Happy Hour and cerveza.
Please enter theater by 3:15 for seating as these films can sell out. Tickets are $9.25 [$8.50 senior].
