**Please note the parking lot change** to avoid neighborhood parking. This hike starts at the parking lot and proceeds through a tunnel to get into Gold Canyon trail to Wildwood Canyon Trail.
Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks is one of the most versatile local parks there is, with 27 miles of trails skittering through rocky cliffs, cacti-filled desert environs, volcanic rock, riparian forest, and a cool, watery canyon. We will pass through various trails with a long creek, crossing streams and bridges, Indian caves, volcanic rock cliffs, 40’ Paradise waterfalls, cacti-filled desert environs, riparian forest, and wildflowers. Highlights of the hike include incorporating 40’ Paradise waterfalls along tree canopy canyon over approximately 6miles with about 1000’ of elevation gain/loss.
Directions:
From the 101 in Thousand Oaks, turn north on Lynn Road and continue to Avenida De Los Arboles, then turn left. Continue for about a half mile to Velarde Dr.( next to Wildwood Elementary School) and turn left and then turn left again at San Velarde Circle.
From the 118, travel west to the 23, exit at Avenida De Los Arboles and turn right. Continue for about a half mile to Velarde Dr.( next to Wildwood Elementary School) and turn left and then turn left again at San Velarde Circle.

• Plan on KEEPING UP with the group and completing the entire hike at a moderate pace.(2.5 MPH)
