Ventura Fire Department Honor Guard Hosts 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

The Ventura Fire Department Honor Guard is hosting a memorial stair climb on Sunday, September 6, 2026, starting at 8 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach. Participants will climb the equivalent of 110 stories to honor those lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 FDNY firefighters, other first responders, and firefighters who have since passed from related illnesses. Registration is $50 per climber, with a limit of 150 participants. The climb is not timed, so people can go at their own pace. Proceeds support the Honor Guard's work honoring fallen firefighters through memorial services and ceremonial events.
