Moon Ditch Completion Celebration

The Moon Ditch Mural Completion Celebration will recognize the artists, volunteers, community organizations, and County partners who helped bring the project to life. The event will feature remarks from Supervisor Matt LaVere, key project leaders and artists, opportunities to learn more about the mural's creation, and a rare chance to see the mural up close from the floor of the channel.

Community Celebration Details

• Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
• Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Program begins at 10:15 a.m.)
• Location: Moon Ditch Mural, Ventura, CA — Intersection of Leland Street and Hofer Road, beneath the Ventura Auto Center sign

This is an outdoor event. Please dress casually and wear sturdy, slip resistant shoes (work/hiking boots are recommended). Please no flip flops, canvas tennis shoes (Vans/Chuck Taylors), sandals, or open toe shoes. The mural channel may include wet areas with flowing water and algae. It can be very slippery. All ages are welcome at the event, but you must be at least 12 years old to enter the channel.
