Strathearn Historical Park preserves Simi Valley's pioneer heritage across 6½ acres of restored historic buildings. The park houses the Strathearn family home, two remaining Colony Houses from an 1888 health colony venture, Ventura County's first purpose-built library, a barbershop dating to 1905, and Saint Rose of Lima Church. The park displays hundreds of photographs, letters, and artifacts documenting early settlers' lives. Admission is free, and trained docents lead tours Friday through Sunday starting at 1:00pm. The visitor center has maps and information for self-guided exploration.
