Gunsmoke BBQ & Beer operates from a historic Santa Paula location with serious smoking credentials—they house the largest smoker in the U.S. and can turn out up to 1,000 chickens a day. Their meats spend serious time in the smoker: brisket gets 18 hours, pork butt 20 hours, and their signature pastrami undergoes a 15-day process involving an 11-day brine, oak smoking, and careful curing. Beyond the expected BBQ lineup, they serve Neapolitan-style pizza, house-made vegetarian and vegan options, and craft salads. All sauces and sides are made in-house, and they skip the corn syrup and preservatives. The courtyard invites lingering with a solid beer selection on tap.
