Farmer and the Cook is an all-organic café in Ojai serving creative vegetarian and vegan Mexican food, with ingredients sourced from their own 16-acre farm whenever possible. Beyond the kitchen, the market-café houses a prize-winning bakery where bakers arrive before dawn to make sourdough, croissants, and pastries from scratch using organic flour. They also run an espresso bar, smoothie bar, juice bar, and sell produce and staples from their farm and local producers. Since 2001, it's been a community gathering spot. They offer CSA boxes, custom bakery orders, and sell a cookbook with recipes and farm stories.
