About
The Humane Society of Ventura County operates a shelter and veterinary clinic dedicated to animal adoption, rescue, and community pet care. Beyond traditional adoption services, HSVC Cares extends support through a pet food pantry, mobile vaccine clinics, and low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for families and pets in need across the county. The organization relies on volunteers who provide daily care and enrichment for shelter animals. They regularly host adoption events and community clinics—recent efforts included over 7,400 vaccinations and nearly 3,000 surgical procedures in 2025.
